. . . on the boat

Being on a boat that’s moving through the water, it’s so clear. Everything falls into place in terms of what’s important and what’s not.      — James Taylor

So Richie Coldcuts and I are boaters.  Power boaters.  There is a big distinction between power boaters and sailors!  We both boated when we were kids, and we currently like to overnight on our second boat which is an express cruiser.  It’s not huge, but it does have a stateroom and a salon, a small galley (kitchen, in boat talk), shower and head (bathroom).  We mostly take it somewhere for a weekend — like Clearwater Beach or Sarasota, or just around the St. Pete peninsula to St. Pete beach.  It’s all fun and relaxing and gets us out of the house to a different venue.  I love that feeling of slowly rocking, and there is NOTHING like rain on the bow when you’re tucked in ‘down below’!
